Passaic County Technical-Vocational Schools (PCTVS) proudly celebrated the graduation of 1,064 students from Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) and the PCTI STEM Academy during commencement ceremonies held June 23 and June 24. Most notably, the district achieved a 100% graduation rate for the third consecutive year, highlighting its continued commitment to academic excellence, student achievement, and career readiness.

The celebrations began on Tuesday, June 23, as 246 graduates of the PCTI STEM Academy crossed the stage. Representing the academy's Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways in Computer Science, Engineering, and Biomedical and Life Sciences, graduates leave equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to succeed in some of today’s most in-demand fields.

On Wednesday, June 24, 818 graduates from Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) received their diplomas, representing the widest range of CTE programs spanning the trades, health sciences, business, technology, public service, and the arts.

Many graduates from the Class of 2026 will continue their education at select colleges/universities.  These schools include some of the most prestigious in the world, including Harvard University, Yale University, and Princeton University. Others will honorably serve the country through military service, and several were selected for admission to prestigious academies, including West Point and the Merchant Marine Academy.  Many others will enter the workforce with industry certifications and licenses, pursuing careers in the skilled trades and technical fields they spent years mastering through their Career and Technical Education programs.

“This year’s graduates represent the very best of what Career and Technical Education can accomplish,” said Dr. Joseph Sabbath, Chief School Administrator of Passaic County Technical-Vocational Schools. “Achieving a 100% graduation rate for the third consecutive year is an extraordinary accomplishment and reflects the dedication of our students, educators, staff, and families. Whether continuing their education, serving our country, or beginning their professional careers, our graduates are prepared to make a meaningful impact. It is a pleasure to celebrate this milestone with our school community and an honor to lead this exceptional district.”

The district's 100% graduation rate reflects a school community committed to supporting the individual needs of every student through graduation and beyond. As PCTVS celebrates the accomplishments of the Class of 2026, the milestone stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved when high expectations, innovative programs, and student-centered support come together!
